The Reichert family has been involved in the horse business since 1934. While the pleasure
horse has been their primary equine related sport and business of choice, family members have
participated in rodeos, open shows and exhibited horses of all breeds at the local, state,
regional and national levels in all disciplines. In addition, the family has been active in
the promotion of the equine business across Iowa, the United States and Internationally.
The establishment of the Reichert Equine Foundation, in 2008, is to recognize servant
leadership development, community and organizational participation while encouraging
academic excellence.
The Reichert Equine Foundation will award four $500.00 Scholarships on August 15, 2009, at the
Reichert Celebration. One scholarship will be awarded in each selected show: APHA Celebration,

Scholarship money will be paid to the college of choice after proof of enrollment is supplied
to the Reichert Equine Foundation.
